ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 15-127 OF THE CODE
OF ORDINANCES, INCREASING BY 1 THE NUMBER OF
FIRE LIEUTENANTS, AND DECREASING BY 1 THE
NUMBER OF FIRE CAPTAINS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 15-127 of the Code of Ordinances is hereby
amended so that it shall read as follows:
"Sec. 15-127. Civil Service Positions Designated.
The following positions in the Fire Department are
classified under Civil Service in compliance with Sec. 8
of Article 1269m of the Revised Civil Statutes of Texas,
as amended, and they are hereby set out as follows:
Classification - Title Number of Positions
Communications Operator 1
Firefighter 57
Fire Equipment Operator 48
Fire Lieutenant 20
Fire Captain 7
Fire Battalion Chief 4
No other person employed by the City may be classified
as holding a position under Civil Service with the Fire
Department. "
