ORDINANCE CHANGING DATE OF FIRST MEETING OF BOARD
OF ALDERMEN IN OCTOBER, 1976 FROM OCTOBER 5TH
TO OCTOBER 7TH, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The date of the first meeting of the Board of Aldermen
in October, 1976 is hereby changed from October 5th, as
established by Section 2-1 of the Code of Ordinances,
to October 7th.
The fact that a public hearing must be held on the
1976-1977 annual budget, and under the Charter the hearing
cannot be held as early as October 5th, creates an emergency;
this ordinance is declared an emergency measure, and it shall
become effective immediately upon its passage.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 21st day of September,
1976.
