AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING THAT PART OF KENTUCKY AVENUE
LYING BETWEEN BLOCKS 3 AND 4 OF THE BARWISE AND JALONICK ADDITION
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS; CLOSING AND ABANDONING THAT
PART OF BRICK STREET ADJACENT TO BLOCK 1 OF THE BATESON ADDITION
OF SAID CITY ON THE WEST SIDE, THE SAME BEING THE 100 BLOCK OF
BRICK STREET; CLOSING AND ABANDONING THE SOUTH 100 FEET OF THE
12 FOOT ALLEY LOCATED IN BLOCK A OF THE GRANGER AND BALLOW ADDITION
OF SAID CITY; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas deems
it advisable and in the public interest to close those portions of the streets and
alley herein described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The following streets and alley are hereby closed and
abandoned, the same being
1. That part of Kentucky Avenue lying between Blocks 3 and 4 of the
Barwise and Jalonick Addition to the City of Wichita Falls, Texas;
2. That part of Brick Street adjacent to Block 1 of the Bateson
Addition of said City on the west side, the same being the 100
block of Brick Street;
3. The south 100 feet of the 12 foot alley located in Block A of the
Granger and Ballow Addition of said City.
SECTION 2. The fact that the presence of the two streets and the alley
is delaying a merger being consumated by a manufacturing establishment, the property
of which abuts the said streets and alley, creates an urgent public necessity
requiring that this ordinance be passed as an emergency measure, and this ordinance
is passed as an emergency measure and shall be in full force and effect immediately
from and after its passage. !!��,,� ® �
