ORDINANCE NO. ye9(72
AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF BRIDGE STREET, WICHITA STREET,
AND PARTS OF ALLEYS IN BLOCK 75 AND 76 OF THE ORIGINAL TOWN OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS; AND RESERVING CERTAIN DRAINAGE
AND UTILITY EASEMENT RIGHTS.
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas
deems it advisable and in the public interest to close that portion of Bridge
Street, Wichita Street, and parts of alleys in Block 75 and 76 of the Original
Town of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas herein described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. All that portion of Bridge Street lying between the north
line of Wichita Street projected and the north line of Lot 2, Block 75 of the
Original Town projected; and all that portion of Wichita Street lying between
the west line of Bridge Street lying north of Wichita Street projected and the
west line of the off-set Bridge Street lying south of Wichita Street projected
be and are hereby closed and abandoned.
SECTION 2. The 25 foot alley in Block 76 of the Original Town from
the west line of Bridge Street westward to the Fort Worth & Denver Railroad
right-of-way and that portion of the 25 foot east-west alley in Block 75 of the
Original Town lying south of and adjacent to Lot 8 of the said Block 75
be and are hereby closed and abandoned.
SECTION 3. The City of Wichita Falls, Texas hereby reserves the
following easements in the above described streets and alleys; a 20 foot drainage
and storm sewer easement in Bridge Street parallel to and adjacent to the east
line of the above described portion of Bridge Street; a 20 foot drainage and
storm sewer easement in Wichita Street, 10 feet either side of a line beginning
at a point 2.5 feet S 55° 00' W of the southwest corner of Lot 9, Block 75,
Original Town, thence S 57° 54' east 86.6 feet more or less to the south line of
Wichita Street; a 10 foot utility easement in Wichita Street, 5 feet either side
of a line parallel to and 25 feet north of the center line of Wichita Street; a
10 foot aerial easement in Wichita Street, 5 feet either side of a line parallel
to and 25 feet south of the center line of the said Wichita Street; a 10 foot
utility easement in the above described portion of Bridge Street, 5 feet either
side of a line beginning at a point in the west right-of-way line of Bridge Street,
said point being 72.0 feet S 35° 00' E of the northeast corner of lot 28, Block 76
of the Original Town, thence S 77° 50' E 37.3 feet, from which a 25 foot x 10 foot
guy easement bears N 28° 00' east 25 feet, thence S 45° 00' E 100 feet from which
point the center pne of a 10 foot x 25 foot guy easement bears S 55° 00' W 25
feet, thence S 27 00' E 129 feet, from which point the center line of a 10 foot
x 25 foot guy easement bears south 27° 00' E 25 feet, thence S 27° 00' W 28 feet
more or less to the west right-of-way line of Bridge Street; and a 10 foot ease-
ment, 5 feet either side of a line beginning 5 feet N 35° 00' W of the northeast
corner of lot 14, Block 75 of the Original Town, thence S 55° 00' W 207.0 feet
to the end of this easement.
SECTION 4. No structures shall be built on those easements reserved
in Section 3.
