ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 7-15, SUBSECTION (1)
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES TO REDUCE SETBACK LINE
FOR CARPORT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 7-15, Subsection (1) , Paragraph (f) , Subpara-
graph (2) of the Code of Ordinances of the City of Wichita
Falls is hereby amended to read as follows:
" (2) A carport may extend as much as ten feet, but no
more, in front of a building setback line, but under this
exception no carport shall be built closer than twenty-five
feet to the front property line; provided, however, that
if eighty percent of the property owners on both sides of
the street in the same block sign a written consent to such
construction, a carport may extend to a point no closer
than five feet to the front property line. Any part of a
carport that extends beyond the front building setback line
shall not be enclosed within walls and shall not be supported
by more than six columns. "
