ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3163 , TO APPOINT
A NEW JUDGE AND ALTERNATE JUDGE FOR CITY BOX NO.
15 IN THE REGULAR MUNICIPAL ELECTION.
WHEREAS, in Ordinance No. 3163, Mrs. Bill C. Ritchie
was appointed judge at City Box No. 15,and Mrs. D. A. Shook
was appointed alternate; and,
WHEREAS, Mrs. Ritchie will be unable to serve in this
capacity.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Ordinance No. 3163 is hereby amended to provide that
Mrs. D. A. Shook is appointed judge, and Mrs. W. L. Voyles
is appointed alternate judge, at City Box No. 15 for the
regular municipal election to be held April 2, 1977.
The fact that one of the election judges will be unable
to serve creates an emergency; this ordinance is declared to
be an emergency measure, and it shall become effective imme-
diately upon its passage.
