ORDINANCE GRANTING TEMPORARY WAIVER OF PARAGRAPH
5, SECTION F OF THE UNITED STATES PUBLIC HEALTH
SERVICE FOOD SERVICE SANITATION ORDINANCE AND
CODE FOR BORDEN MILK COMPANY TO DISPLAY ELSIE
THE COW AT SIKES SENTER, MAY 6 AND 7, 1977.
WHEREAS, Paragraph 5 of Section F of the United States
Public Health Service Food Service Sanitation Ordinance and
Code, which is adopted by Section 16-1 of the Code of Or-
dinances of Wichita Falls, provides that no live birds
or animals shall be allowed in any area used for the conduct
of food-service establishment operations; and,
WHEREAS, Borden Milk Company has requested a temporary
waiver of this requirement in order that they might display
Elsie the Cow and her calf at Sikes Senter Mall on May 6
and 7, 1977; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen finds that a temporary
waiver of the ordinance for this purpose would be proper.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The provisions of Paragraph 5, Section F of the United
States Public Health Service Food Service Sanitation Ordinance
and Code, which is adopted by Section 16-1 of the Code of
Ordinances, is hereby waived for the limited purpose of
allowing Borden Milk Company to display Elsie the Cow and
her calf at Sikes Senter Mall on May 6 and 7, 1977.
