AN ORDINANCE WAIVING SIDE SETBACK RESTRICTIONS ON LOT 7A,
BLOCK 190, A REPLAT OF A PORTION OF LOT 7 AND ALL OF LOTS
8, 9, AND 10, BLOCK 190, ORIGINAL TOWNSITE OF WWICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS ,
TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Section. 9, L, (6) of Ordinance No. 2118, which requires
that where a corner lot is a key lot, it shall have a minimum building setback
line on the side street of at least fifteen (15) feet is hereby waived for Lot IA_,
Block 190, Original Townsite of Wichita Falls, Texas, "subject to the following
condition: the side building setback line adjacent to Burnett Street shall he
four (4) feet to a point one hundred sixty-five (165) feet from the front property
line and thereafter. fifteen (15) feet to the rear lot line.
SECTION 2. The fact that the Church of the Good Shepherd has contracted
for the construction of a church office building on Lot 7A, Block 190, Original
Townsite of Wichita Falls, Texas, and time is of the essence for the completion
of the contract makes this ordinance an emergency measure in order to provide
for the public welfare, and therefore this ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon its passage.
