AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 29-91.1 OF THE
• CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, BY ADDING SUB-PARAGRAPH (AK) TO SECTION
29-91.1 AND, DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The schedule set out in Section 29-91.1 of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Wichita. Falls is hereby amended to add sub-paragraph (AK) to read
as follows:
"(AK) Southwest Parkway (FM 369)
(1) 35 MPH From a. point 500 feet west of Barnett
Road to a point 500 feet east of Barnett
Road. "
SECTION 2. The fact that the prima facie speed limits set out in this ord-
inance are necessary to the safe and orderly movement of traffic upon the streets
of the City of Wichita. Falls, this ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure
on the grounds that there is an urgent public need for the orderly flow of traffic
upon the streets, and a public need for the preservation of the peace, health, and
safety of the lives and property of the citizens of the city. This ordinance shall,
therefore, take effect immediately upon its passage.
