Ord 3208 8/2/1977 + ORDINANCE NO. AM, AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING THAT PORTION OF OHIO STREET SOUTH OF 12TH STREET IN THE ORIGINAL TOWNSITE OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, WICHITA COUNTY, TEXAS, SAID PORTION BEING HEREINAFTER MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED WHEREAS, the owner of the land adjacent to and abutting that portion of Ohio Street South of 12th Street desire said street be abandoned and closed by the City; and, WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas deems it advisable and in the public interest to close that portion of Ohio Street. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That portion of Ohio Street which is described as follows: BEGINNING at a point where the Easterly right-of-way line of Ohio Street crosses the Southerly right-of-way line of 12th Street in the Original Townsite of the City of Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas; THENCE South 56° 16' West 100.00 feet along the Southerly right-of- way line of 12th Street to a point where the Westerly right-of-way line of Ohio Street crosses said Southerly right-of-way line; THENCE South 33° 43' East 175.20 feet along said Westerly right-of- way line of Ohio Street to a point for corner; THENCE South 88° 40' East 75.90 feet to a point for corner; THENCE North 04° 05' East 61.80 feet to a point for corner in said Easterly right-of-way line of Ohio Street; THENCE North 33° 43' West 170.00 feet along said Easterly right-of- way line of Ohio Street to the place of beginning and containing 0.45 acres, more or less. be and is hereby closed and abandoned. SECTION 2. The City of Wichita Falls, Texas , hereby reserves an easement in said land for the purpose of laying and maintaining all kind and character of utility lines, including water, gas, electric, telephone and power lines, and sanitary and storm sewers, and drainage ditches.
