ORDINANCE AMENDING PARAGRAPH (A) OF SUBSECTION
(3) OF SECTION 7-15 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES,
ESTABLISHING VALUE OF BUILDINGS IN THE BUILDING
CODE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Paragraph (A) of Subsection (3) of Section 7-15 of
the Code of Ordinances is hereby amended to read as follows:
" (A) VALUE OF BUILDINGS:
The total value of the proposed structure shall include
all labor, material, equipment, overheads, and the contractor' s
profit together with the cost of plumbing, heating, wiring, and
painting included in such structure. For the purpose of
estimating the total value, the following schedule shall be
used for residential construction, unless the applicant
can demonstrate that the cost is less than that determined
by the schedule. Commercial and industrial values shall be
determined by the contracted price, or estimated by the Chief
Building Inspector using current construction values.
VALUE ESTIMATING SCHEDULE
(I) Residential construction.
(a) All types $15. 00 per square foot
(b) Garages 50% of square foot rate"
