Ord 3237 10/4/1977 ORDINANCE NO. 4
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 1596, SECTION 1,
PROVIDING FOR PARTICIPATION OF ALL CITY EMPLOYEES IN
THE TEXAS MUNICIPAL RETIREMENT SYSTEM, AND INCLUDING
CERTAIN EMPLOYEES OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT NOT ELIGIBLE
TO PARTICIPATE IN THE WICHITA FALLS FIREMEN'S RELIEF
AND RETIREMENT FUND.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Ordinance 1596, Section 1, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Section 1. That, on behalf of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, the
Board of Aldermen hereby exercises its option and elects to have the City
and all of the employees of all departments, including certain employees of
the Fire Department not eligible to participate in the Wichita Falls Firemen's
Relief and Retirement Fund, participate in the Texas Municipal Retirement
System as provided in Chapter 75, Acts of the 50th Legislature, as amended,
being Article 6243h of Vernon's Annotated Civil Statutes; and all of the
benefits and obligations of such system are hereby accepted."
