AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING THE NECESSITY FOR THE
ORDERING AND PROVIDING FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF
PORTIONS OF AVENUES , STREETS AND PUBLIC PLACES
IN THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS , TEXAS , DESIGNATED
AS THE 1977 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ASSESSMENT PAV-
ING PROGRAM, APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICA-
TIONS PREPARED BY THE CITY ENGINEER, AND DIRECT-
ING THE ADVERTISING FOR BIDS , AND PROVIDING SUN-
DRY OTHER MATTERS INCIDENT THERETO.
WHEREAS , the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls , Texas is
of the opinion that the hereinafter mentioned portions of avenues , streets , and
public places in the City of Wichita Falls , Texas should be improved;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS , THAT:
It is hereby determined that it is necessary that the following por-
tions of avenues , streets and public places in the City of Wichita Falls , Texas
be improved, to-wit:
CALIFORNIA From the north property line of
AVENUE: Walnut Street to the south property
line of Elm Street.
CLAY STREET: From the north property line of East
Caroline to 200' north of the north
property line of East Jefferson
COLORADO From the north property line of Walnut
AVENUE : Street to the south property line of
Elm Street.
CORWIN From the north property line of East
STREET: Jefferson to 350' north of the north
property line of Madison Street.
EDDIE From the north property line of Harding
LANE: Street to the north 495 feet.
FARRIS From the north property line of Third
STREET: Street to 425' north of the north prop-
erty line of Front Street.
FRONT From the east property line of Eastside
STREET: Drive to the west property line of
Patterson Street
HARDING From the east property line of Thompson
STREET: Road to the west property line of Cotton-
wood Road.
KENTUCKY From the north property line of Walnut
AVENUE : Street to the south property line of
Elm Street.
LEE STREET: From the south property line of 7th
Street to the south 350 feet .
LINDA From the north property line of Harding
LANE: Street to the south property line of
Hickory Lane
PATTERSON From the north property line of East
STREET: Third Street to the north property
line of Front Street.
PINE From the north property line of East
STREET: Third Street to the south property line
of East Second Street.
REYNOLDS From the north property line of Harding
LANE: Street to the North 440 feet.
EAST THIRD From the north property line of Duncan
STREET: Street to the east property line of
Pine Street
WICHITA From the east property line of North
STREET: Scott Avenue to the east 325 feet.
II .
The City Engineer has heretofore prepared plans and specifications
for the improvement of the hereinabove described portions of avenues , streets ,
and public places , and such plans and specifications are submitted to the Board
of Aldermen for approval and adoption ; such plans and specifications be and the
same are hereby approved and adopted as the plans and specifications for the
improvement of the said streets .
III .
The City Manager is hereby directed to advertise for competitive bids
for the making and constructing of said improvements .
IV.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force and effect immediately
from and after its passage.

proved and that a portion of the cost of such improvements is to be specially
assessed as a lien upon the property abutting thereon , and said portions of
streets in the City of Wichita Falls , Texas as follows :
