ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3238 , WHICH
APPROVED AND ADOPTED ESTIMATES AND AWARDED
CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF VARIOUS STREETS
DESIGNATED AS THE 1977 ASSESSMENT PAVING
PROGRAM AND PHASE I OF THE 1977 RECONSTRUCTION
PAVING PROGRAM, TO CORRECT THE AMOUNT OF THE
CONTRACTS AWARDED, AND RATIFYING TWO CONTRACTS.
WHEREAS, on October 4, 1977, the Board of Aldermen
adopted Ordinance No. 3238, which approved and adopted
estimates and awarded contract for construction of improve-
ments of various streets designated as the 1977 assessment
paving program and Phase I of the 1977 reconstruction pav-
ing program in the City; and,
WHEREAS, through inadvertence an erroneous figure for
the amount of the bids, as accepted, was added to such con-
tract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN
OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Ordinance No. 3238 is hereby amended so that
the figure 321 009" shall be changed to read "$446 , 052. 44"

where it appears in the third paragraph of such ordinance
and in Section III of such ordinance.
SECTION 2. Thereafter, two contracts dated October 4,
1977 were executed by and between the City of Wichita Falls
and Timmins-Anderson Corporation for the construction of
these improvements; one contract was in the amount of $423, 809. 44
and the other contract in the amount of $22 ,243. These
two contracts are hereby ratified and confirmed.
