RESOLUTION DECLARING THAT A CERTAIN TRACT OF LAND
ACQUIRED BY THE STATE OF TEXAS ON KELL BOULEVARD
IS NO LONGER NEEDED FOR HIGHWAY OR PUBLIC TRANSPOR-
TATION PURPOSES AND RECOMMENDING THAT THE STATE
SELL SUCH LAND.
WHEREAS, the State of Texas acquired the hereinafter described
tract of land on Kell Boulevard for highway purposes, and the State
Department of Highways and Public Transportation has recommended that
such land is surplus to the State' s needs, and that the same be sold.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THF BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS , TEXAS, THAT:
That certain tract of land, which is shown as Tract No. 6 and
described in Exhibit A which is attached hereto and incorporated herein,
is no longer needed for highway or public transportation purposes by
the citizens or City of Wichita Falls, and it is recommended that the
State sell such tract of land in accordance with the statutes of the
State of Texas.

TRACT NO. 6
Being a part of Lots 30 , 31 , and 3 in Block 5 , Sibley-Taylor
Addition in the town of Wichita Falls , Wichita County , Texas ,
according to a map or plat of said Addition recorded in Book 2 ,
Page 132 , of the Map or Plat Records of Wichita County ; and being
the same property described in a Judgment for J . T. Wood , et ux
to the State of Texas and City of Wichita Falls dated November
25 , 1970 , recorded in Volume 1093 , Page 200 and in a Quitclaim
Deed from the City of Wichita Falls to the State of Texas dated
December 10 , 1971 , recorded in Volume 1110 , Page 321 and in a
Deed from Rex Roten , et ux to the State of Texas dated July 8 ,
1969 , recorded in Volume 1063 , Page 37 , Deed Records of Wichita
County , Texas , containing an area of 12 , 811 . 11 square feet of
land , more or less . Being more particularly described as
follows :
BEGINNING at the northwest corner of Lot 3 in Block 5 ,
Sibley-Taylor Addition , said point being on
the south right of way line of Sibley Street ;
THENCE : N. 68° 30 ' E along the north line of Lot 3 and
the south right of way line of Sibley Street a
distance of 53 . 80 feet to the northeast corner
of Lot 3 ;
THENCE : South along the east line of Lot 3 a distance of
62. 50 feet to the southeast corner of said Lot 3
and continuing south a distance of 6 . 00 feet for
a total distance of 68 . 50 feet to the center of
an abandoned 12 foot alley which runs in an east-
west direction , said 12 foot alley closed by
Ordinance No . dated 1982 ,
said point being a point for corner ;
THENCE : East along the center of said abandoned east-west
12 foot alley a distance of 102. 00 feet to a point
for corner on the west right of way line of Yale
Street ;
