RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING CITY MANAGER
TO SIGN AGREEMENTS UNDER THE ALTERNATIVE FINE
DISCHARGE PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen has approved a program
authorizing discharge of fines assessed in Municipal Court by per-
formance of maintenance and improvement services for the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS , TEXAS , THAT :
The form of the contract to be used under this alternative
fine discharge program, a copy of which form is attached hereto,
is hereby approved, and the City Manager, or his designee, is
hereby authorized to execute agreements on this form with parti-
cipants in the program.

ALTERNATIVE FINE DISCHARGE PROGRAM SERVICES AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, persons currently found guilty of misdemeanors in
the Municipal Court of the City of Wichita Falls have available
to them only two methods of discharging the fine assessed against
them; they may either pay the fine or be confined in jail; and, •
rt:f• WHEREAS, more productive, voluntary avenues may be made avail-
L able to such persons, avenues which will contribute to the maintenance
and improvement of the City of Wichita Falls; and,

3 WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has organized an Alternative
Fs 4- Fine Discharge Program to provide the avenues and municipal benefits
