RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXPEND AVAILABLE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK
GRANT FUNDS FOR CITY UTILITY ADJUSTMENTS
ASSOCIATED WITH THE BURNETT STREET BRIDGE
PROJECT.
WHEREAS , Wichita County has heretofore contracted with the
Texas Department of Highways and Public Transportation, whereby
such Department will design, let and administer a contract for the
construction of a new Burnett Street Bridge, the cost of which is
to be paid by City, County, and State funds; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has agreed with Wichita
County that the City will make a contribution toward the construction
of such bridge and assume associated City utility adjustment respon-
sibilities; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary that a twelve inch water line be
constructed for the City across this bridge.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS , TEXAS , THAT :
The City Manager is hereby authorized to expend up to $9 ,050. 00
under the Burnett Street Bridge Project to install steel H-beam
thrust blocks atop each cap, to install and connect City-furnished
mechanical joint water line, from bridge abutment to bridge abutment,
and to remove all temporary decking and bracing lumber required for
installing such line.
