RESOLUTION NO. 71 iA
RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE A POLICE VIDEO TRAINING
GRANT AGREEMENT ADMINISTERED BY THE TEXAS
GOVERNOR'S OFFICE OF GENERAL COUNSEL AND
CRIMINAL JUSTICE.
WHEREAS, in August, 1981 , the Police Department submitted
a grant application to the Texas Governor ' s Office of General
Counsel and Criminal Justice for assistance in purchasing the
necessary equipment to establish a video training system within
the department; and,
WHEREAS, the total cost of such project is $56, 630. 00,
seventy-five percent of which ($42 ,473 . 00) will be provided by
state funds and twenty-five percent ($14 ,157. 00) will be provided
by City funds; and,
WHEREAS, such application has been approved, subject to
the approval and acceptance by the Board of Aldermen of the grant.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
That certain grant to the City of Wichita Falls from the
State of Texas, administered by the Texas Governor ' s Office of
General Counsel and Criminal Justice, providing for assistance
in purchasing the necessary equipment to establish a video training
system, is hereby approved, and the City Manager is authorized
to execute for the City of Wichita Falls the grant agreement and
all other necessary documents.
