A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT
WITH MYRICK, NEWMAN, DAHLBERG AND PARTNERS, INC. FOR ASSISTANCE
IN PREPARING A PARKS, RECREATION SERVICES, AND OPEN SPACE PLAN
WHEREAS, an overall plan for City parks was a specific goal in the Goals
for Wichita Falls Program; and
WHEREAS, a Parks, Recreation Services, and Open Space Plan is an important
element in the City's overall Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS, there is a need for consultant assistance in preparing a Parks,
Recreation Services, and Open Space Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Parks Board has recommended that consultant assistance be
utilized in the development of a Parks, Recreation Services, and Open Space Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is hereby authorized to sign a contract with Myrick,
Newman, Dahlberg, and Partners, Inc. for assistance in preparing a Parks, Recreation
Services, and Open Space Plan in an amount not to exceed $30,000.00.
