RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ACCEPTING THE SHEPPARD
AREA FEDERAL CREDIT UNION FACILITY PROJECT AS AN
ELIGIBLE PROJECT WITHIN OR ADJACENT TO THE CITY'S
DESIGNATED BLIGHTED AREA.
WHEREAS, the Sheppard Area Federal Credit Union building project to be
located in the block bounded by 14th and 15th Streets and Broad and Holliday
Streets in Wichita Falls will contribute significantly to redevelopment objectives
in the City's designated blighted area, as defined by the Wichita Falls Board of
Aldermen, and is in furtherance of public purposes, as defined by the
Development Corporation Act of 1979, as amended; and,
WHEREAS , such project will contribute to the economic growth of Wichita
Falls by increasing employment opportunities, increasing the tax base and pro-
moting commerce with the City; and,
WHEREAS, such project is an acceptable project of the commercial type.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City of Wichita Falls approves the Sheppard Area Federal Credit Union
building project as an eligible commercial project within or adjacent to the City's
designated blighted area.
