RESOLUTION APPROVING AND ACCEPTING THE DAYS INNS
OF AMERICA, INC. , HOTEL PROJECT AS AN ELIGIBLE PROJECT
WITHIN OR ADJACENT TO THE CITY'S DESIGNATED BLIGHTED
AREA.
WHEREAS, the proposed Days Inns of America, Inc. , hotel project will
contribute significantly to redevelopment objectives in or adjacent to the City's
blighted area, as defined by the Wichita Falls Board of Aldermen, and is in
furtherance of public purposes, as defined by the Development Corporation Act
of 1979, as amended; and,
WHEREAS, such project will contribute to the economic growth of Wichita
Falls by increasing employment opportunities, increasing the tax base and pro-
moting commerce within the City; and,
WHEREAS, such project is an acceptable project of the commercial type.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City of Wichita Falls approves the Days Inns of America, Inc. , hotel
project as an acceptable commercial project within or adjacent to the City's
designated blighted area.
