RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO
INTERGOVERNMENTAL PERSONNEL ACT CONTRACT
WITH THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY
AFFAIRS
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls has entered into a contract with
the Texas Department of Community Affairs for the development of an entry
level firefighter selection process, and it is in the best interests of the
City to extend the contract deadline from December 31, 1981 to February 28,
1982.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The City Manager is authorized to execute a contract amendment with
the Texas Department of Community Affairs extending the contract deadline from
December 31, 1981 to February 28, 1982.

2% SECTION 1.
The Texas Department of Community Affairs, an agency of the State
7 rar v yak , _ r ate;of Texas hereinafter referred to as "Department" and the City of Wichita _
Falls, Texas hereinafter referred as "Contractor", do hereby
agree and contract to amend their original contract as initially executed
by the Executive Director of the Department on January 2, 1981 for
the performance of intergovernmental system design during the period of
R f. Jan. 2, 1981 to Dec. 31, 1981 The total of all payments and other
obligations incurred by the Department as given in § 3(d) of such contract
were not to exceed $17,500.00
SECTION 2.
The parties hereto agree to amend Section III, Contract Period,
of such contract identified above in SECTION 1. This Section III shall
now be modified to read as follows:
This contract and agreement shall begin January 2, 1981
i and shall terminate February 28, 1982.

The parties hereto agree that this amendment shall become effective

SECTION 4.
The parties hereto contract and agree that all the terms of the
above named contract and all amendments thereto executed prior to the
effective date of this amendment shall remain in effect and shall continue

to govern except to the extent that they conflict with this amendment.

of federal, state or local laws or regulations as they pertain to such con-
tract identified above in SECTION 1.
By the signing of this amendment, the parties expressly understand
and agree that this amendment is hereby made a Dart of the contract identi-
fied in SECTION 1 above as though it were set forth word for word therein.
