ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 5-10, 5-40
AND 5-118. OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, TO
INCREASE-"THE IMPOUNDMENT, BOARDING AND
LICENSE FEES FOR ANIMALS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The first paragraph in Section 5-10 of the Code
of Ordinances is hereby amended to read as follows:
"A fee of $50. 00 per head shall be charged as poundage for
taking up the impounding for such animals. Fees for taking care
of such animals shall be, per head per day, $3. 50; for selling
such animals, $0. 50 per head; for preparing advertisement of sale,
$0. 50; in addition, owner shall be charged the cost of newspaper
advertisement. "
SECTION 2. Section 5-40 of the Code of Ordinances is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"Section 5-40. Fee for original dog license.
A license shall be issued after payment of the annual $3 . 00
fee. "
SECTION 3. Subsection (a) of Section 5-118 of the Code of
Ordinances is hereby amended to read as follows:
" (a) The owner of any dog impounded in accordance with this
article shall have the right to redeem the same upon_payment .to the
City Accounting Department a $25. 00 impounding fee and the sum of
$3.50 for each day held in the Animal Control Center, for each
dog so redeemed. "
