AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 29-91.1 OF THE
CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, BY ADDING SUB-PARAGRAPH (AL)
TO SECTION 29-91.1 AND, DECLARING AN EMER-
GENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The schedule set out in Section 29-91.1 of the Code of Ord-
inances of the City of Wichita Falls is hereby amended to add sub-paragraph
(AI.) to read as follows:
"(AL) Taft Boulevard
(1) 20 MPH From Speedway Avenue to
Clarinda Avenue. "
SECTION 2. The fact that the prima fade speed limits set out in this
ordinance are necessary to the safe and orderly movement of traffic upon the
streets of the City of Wichita Falls, this ordinance is declared to be an emer-
gency measure on the grounds that there is an urgent public need for the orderly
flow of traffic upon the streets, and a public need for the preservation of the
peace, health, and safety of the lives and property of the citizens of the city.
This ordinance shall, therefore, take effect immediately upon its passage.
