ORDINANCE PROHIBITING POSSESSION AND/OR CON-
SUMPTION OF ALCHOLIC BEVERAGES ON PROPERTY
BELONGING TO WICHITA FALLS INDEPENDENT SCHOOL
DISTRICT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The possession of alcoholic beverages and the
consumption of alcoholic beverages, at or in the Memorial
Athletic Complex, the H. E. "Flip" Hoskins Baseball Stadium
or in or on any property belonging to the Wichita Falls Inde-
pendent School District now or hereafter within the City
limits of Wichita Falls, is prohibited. Any police officer is
authorized to seize and confiscate such beverages found on
such property.
SECTION 2. Any person who is convicted of violating this
ordinance shall be punished by a fine not exceeding $200. 00.
SECTION 3. Ordinance No. 1695 (which is -codified as Sec-
tion 4-8 of the Code of Ordinances) is hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. The fact that the possession and consumption
of alcoholic beverages on school property can be detrimental
to the health, safety, and welfare of persons and property
creates an emergency, and this ordinance is declared to an
emergency measure which shall become effective immediately
upon its passage.
