AN ORDINANCE DETERMINING THE NECESSITY FOR THE ORDERING AND PROVIDING
FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF PORTIONS OF AVENUES, STREETS AND PUBLIC PLACES
IN THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, DESIGNATED AS THE 1979 ASSESSMENT
PAVING PROGRAM, APPROVING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATI3NS PREPARED BY
CITY ENGINEER AND DIRECTING THE ADVERTISING FOR BIDS AND PROVIDING
SUNDRY OTHER MATTERS INCIDENT THERETO.
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas is of the
opinion that the hereinafter mentioned portions of avenues, streets, and public
places in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas should be improved:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
1 .
It is hereby determined that it is necessary that the following portions of
avenues, streets and public places in the City of Wichita Falls, Texas be improved,
to-wit:
BLUFF STREET: From the north property line of Thirty-
eighth Street to the south property
line of Midwestern Parkway.
BROWNLEE STREET: From the east property line of Kenley
Avenue to the East end of Brownlee Street.
DENVER AVENUE: From the north property line of Huff
Avenue to the south property line of
Eleventh Street.
INDUSTRIAL BOULEVARD: From the east property line of Sheppard
Access Road to the west property line of
Old Burk Road.
KENLEY AVENUE: From 362.7 feet north of the north
property line of Borton Street to the
west property line of Central Freeway.
ONAWAY TRAIL: From 150 feet West of the west property
line of Minnetaska Avenue to the west
property line of Hiawatha Boulevard.
TRAVIS STREET: From the north property line of Thirty-
Eighth Street to the south property line
of Midwestern Parkway.
II .
The City Engineer has heretofore prepared plans and specifications for the
improvement of the hereinabove described portions of avenues , streets, and public
places, and such plans and specifications are submitted to the Board of Aldermen
for approval and adoption; such plans and specifications be and the same are hereby
approved and adopted as the plans and specifications for the improvement of the
said streets.
III .
The City Manager is hereby directed to advertise for competitive bids for the
making and constructing of said improvements.
IV.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force and effect immediately from
and after its passage.

Notice is hereby given that the governing body of the City of Wichita
Falls, Texas, has ordered and determined it to be necessary that the following
streets in the City of Wichita Falls, Wichita County, Texas be improved and that
a portion of the cost of such improvement is to be specially assessed as a lien
upon the property abutting thereon, and said portions of streets, in the City of
Wichita Falls, Texas as follows :
BLUFF STREET: From the north property line of Thirty-
Eighth Street to the south property line
of Midwestern Parkway.
BROWNLEE STREET: From the east property line of Kenley
Avenue to the east end of Brownlee
Street.
