Ord 3440 3/20/1979 ORDINANCE NO.1
ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3424, TO APPOINT A NEW
JUDGE AND ALTERNATE JUDGE FOR CITY BOX NO. 5 IN THE
REGULAR MUNICIPAL ELECTION.
WHEREAS, in Ordinance No. 3424, Mr. C. E. Jackson was appointed
judge at City Box No. 5, and Mr. James Williams was appointed alternate;
and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Jackson will be unable to serve in this capacity.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Ordinance No. 3424 is hereby amended to provide that Mr. James
Williams is appointed judge, and Mr. C. C. Durkee is appointed alternate
judge, at City Box No. 5 for the regular municipal election to be held
April 7, 1979.
The fact that one of the election judges will be unable to serve
creates an emergency; this ordinance is declared to be an emergency
measure, and it shall become effective immediately upon its passage.
