Ord 3454 4/17/1979 • ORDINANCE NO. 3454 ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE II OF CHAPTER 7 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES TO PROVIDE FOR CONTRACTORS LICENSE AND BOND. BE IT ORDAINDED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. Subsection (2) of section 7-15 of Article II of Chapter 7 of the Code of Ordinances is hereby amended to read as follows: "106. 2 CONTRATORS LICENSE AND BOND REQUIRED. It shall be the duty of every contractor or builder, who shall make contracts for the erection or construction or repair of buildings for which a permit is required, and every contractor or builder making such contracts and subletting the same, or any part thereof, to secure a license and pay a license fee in the amount of $50. 00, and to register with the Building Official, giving full name, residence, place of business, current financial statement, credit rating, resume of work performed during previous 24 months indicating scope of responsibility, and in case of removal from one place to another to have made corresponding change in said register accordingly; such license shall expire on the December 31 following its issuance. It shall be the further duty of every such person to give good and sufficient bond in the amount of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000) , conditioned to con- form to the building regulations, the regulations of this section, and other ordinances or laws of the applicable govern- ing body in reference to buildings. " SECTION 2. The terrible destruction caused by the tornado in the City on April 10, 1979, creates an emergency, and this ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure and shall go into effect immediately upon its passage.
