Ord 3461 4/24/1979 ORDINANCE NO. AV ORDINANCE EXTENDING STATE OF DISASTER EMERGENCY FOR SEVEN DAYS, AND EXTENDING FOR FIFTEEN DAYS THE RETAIL PRICE CONTROLS ESTABLISHED BY ORDINANCE NO. 3450. WHEREAS, the state of emergency declared by Ordinance No. 3450 automatically terminates on April 25, 1979, by virtue of Article 5890 (e) , Revised Civil Statutes of Texas; and, WHEREAS, the aftermath of the tornado still creates an emergency. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT: SECTION 1. Prior approval having been given by the Governor, the state of disaster emergency in the City of Wichita Falls is hereby extended for a period of seven days, ending May 2 , 1979, such extension being reasonably necessary to protect the health, life and property of the City and its inhabitants. SECTION 2. The maximum retail prices for certain goods and services, established in Section 4 of Ordinance 3450 is hereby extended for a period of fifteen days, end- ing May 11, 1979. SECTION 3. Section 2 of Ordinance No. 3450, regulating the times during which unauthorized persons are not allowed in the disaster areas of the City, is hereby repealed.
