AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF SOUTH
ROAD LOCATED IN THE J. A. SCOTT SURVEY, NO. 10, A-302,
WICHITA COUNTY, TEXAS
WHEREAS, the Planning Board has recommended the closure of said street;
and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas deems
it advisable and in the public interest to close this street hereinafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
That portion of South Road lying in the J. A. Scott Survey, No. 10,
A-302, Wichita County, Texas, more fully described hereinafter, be and the same
is hereby closed and abandoned, to wit:
Beginning at a point in the west right-of-way line of Central Freeway
East, said point being the northeast corner of Block 1, Mayo Subdivi-
sion; for the southeast corner of this tract and place of beginning
of this description;
Thence along the north line of said Block 1, Mayo Subdivision, north
88 48' west 272.1 feet to a point for the northwest corner of said
Block 1;
Thence north 88° 54' west 421.4 feet to a point for the southwest corner
of this tract;
Thence north 01° 06' east 20.0 feet to a point for the northwest corner
of this tract;
Thence south 88° 54' east 421.5 feet.
Thence south 88° 48' east 257.1 feet to a point in the above mentioned
west right-of-way line of Central Freeway East, for the northeast corner
of this tract;
Thence along said west right-of-way line, south 35° 36' east 25.0 feet
to the place of beginning and containing 0.32 acres, more or less.
