AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF HOLLY DRIVE
BETWEEN BLOCK 26 AND BLOCK 29, SIBLEY TAYLOR SECOND ADDITION
TO WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS
WHEREAS, the Planning Board recommended the closure of said street
on May 2, 1961; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen approved a replat closing said street
on May 8, 1961; and,
WHEREAS, an ordinance officially closing and abandoning said street was
not passed; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls deems it
advisable and in the public interest to close said street hereinafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. That portion of Holly Drive lying between Block 26 and
Block 29, south of the extended south right-of-way line of Twenty-third Street
and north of the north right-of-way line of South Road as recorded August 25,
I ' 1919 in the Wichita County deed records on the Sibley Taylor Second Addition plat
is hereby closed and abandoned.
SECTION 2. The City of Wichita Falls, Texas, hereby reserved an
easement in said land for the purpose of laying and maintaining all kind and

character of utility lines, including water, gas, electric, telephone and power
lines, sanitary and storm sewers and drainage ditches; no structures shall be
built by the landowner on said easement.
