AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF ADAMS STREET
BETWEEN BLOCK W AND BLOCK X, A PORTION OF ALLEY IN BLOCK W AND
A PORTION OF ALLEY IN BLOCK X, R. E. MONTGOMERY SECOND SUBDIVI-
SION OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS
WHEREAS, the Planning Board has recommended the closure of said street
and alleys; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas deems
it advisable and in the public interest to close this street and these alleys
hereinafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS THAT:
SECTION 1. That portion of Adams Street between Block W and Block X,
north of the north right-of-way line of Front Street and south of the Wichita
River, R. E. Montgomery Second Subdivision be and the same is hereby closed and
abandoned.
SECTION 2. That portion of alley south of Lot 27, Block W and north of
Lots 24, 25 and 26, Block W, R. E. Montgomery Second Subdivision be and the same
is hereby closed and abandoned.
SECTION 3. That portion of alley south of. Lot 13, Block X and north of
Lots 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19, Block X, R. E. Montogmery Second Subdivision be
and the same is hereby closed and abandoned.
SECTION 4. The City of Wichita Falls, Texas, hereby reserves easements
in said land for the purpose of laying and maintaining all kind and character of
utility lines including water, gas, electric, telephone and power lines, sanitary
and storm sewers and drainage ditches; no structures shall be built on said
easements.
