AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF NINETEENTH
STREET AND A PORTION OF AN ALLEY LOCATED IN THE E. A. AUSTIN
SURVEY, A-425, A PORTION OF SIBLEY STREET LOCATED IN THE J.
A. SCOTT SURVEY, NO. 10, A-302, AND A PORTION OF BROAD STREET
LOCATED IN THE J. A. SCOTT SURVEY, NO. 10, A-302 AND THE E. A.
AUSTIN SURVEY, A-425, ALL IN WICHITA COUNTY, TEXAS
WHEREAS, the Planning Board has recommended the closure of portions
of said streets and alley; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas
deems it advisable and in the public interest to close these streets and alley
hereinafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. That portion of Nineteenth Street lying in the E. A. Austin
Survey, A-425, Wichita County, Texas, more fully described hereinafter, be and
the same is hereby closed and abandoned, to wit;
A Tract of land out of the E. A. Austin Survey, A-425, Wichita County,
Texas, said tract being more specifically described by metes and
bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point which bears N 01° 28' E 66.7 feet and N 33° 22'
W 81.2 feet from the intersection of the south line of said E. A.
Austin Survey, and the W ROW line of Bluff St. , said point being the
intersection of the above mentioned W ROW line of Bluff Street and the S
ROW line of Nineteenth Street, for the southeast corner and place of
beginning of this description;
THENCE S 56° 38' W 146.54 feet, along said south ROW line of Nineteenth
Street to a point of intersection of the above mentioned S ROW line
of Nineteenth Street and the N ROW line of Chester Street (closed by
Ord. No. 922) said point being the southwest corner of this tract;
THENCE W 145.46 feet, along said N ROW line to a point of intersection
of the above mentioned N ROW line of Chester Street and the N ROW
line of Nineteenth Street, said point being the northwest corner of
this tract;
THENCE N 56° 38' E 268.02 feet, along said N ROW line of Nineteenth
Street to a point of intersection of the above mentioned N ROW line of
Nineteenth Street and said W ROW line of Bluff Street, said point
being the northeast corner of this tract;
THENCE S 33° 22' east 80.00 feet, along said W ROW line of Bluff
Street to the place of beginning and containing 0.38 acres (16,582
square feet), more or less.
SECTION 2. That portion of an alley lying in the E. A. Scott Survey,
A-425, Wichita County, Texas, more fully described hereinafter, be and the same
is hereby closed and abandoned, to wit:
A tract of land out of the E. A. Austin Survey, A-425, Wichita County,
Texas, said tract being more specifically described by metes and bounds
as follows:
BEGINNING at the southwest corner of Lot 7, Block 16, I. Jalonick
Addition, an addition to the City of Wichita Falls, Texas said point
being the northeast corner and place of beginning of this description;
THENCE S 32° 51' E 20.00 feet to a point for the southeast corner of
this tract;

THENCE S 56° 26' W 147.33 feet to a point for the southwest corner of
this tract;
THENCE N 59° 57' W 22.32 feet to a point for the northwest corner of
this tract;
THENCE N 56° 26' E 157.50 feet to the place of beginning and containing
0.07 acres, (3,048 square feet) , more or less.
SECTION 3. That portion of Sibley Street lying in the J. A. Scott
Survey, No. 10, A-302, Wichita County, Texas, more fully described hereinafter,
be and the same is hereby closed and abandoned, to wit:
A tract of land out of the J. A. Scott Survey, No. 10, A-302, Wichita
County, Texas, said tract being more specifically described by metes
and bounds as follows:
BEGINNING at a point of intersection of the N ROW line of Kell Boulevard
and the W ROW line of Sibley Street, said point being the southwest
corner and place of beginning of this description;
THENCE N 13° 19' W 68.35 feet to a point for the northwest corner of
this tract;
THENCE N 69° 26' E 132.64 feet to a point for the northeast corner of
this tract;
THENCE S 20° 42' E 50.00 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE S 69° 26' W 83.88 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE S 01° 28' W 25.50 feet to a point for the southeast corner of
this tract;
THENCE S 77° 56' W 50.10 feet to the place of beginning and containing
0.18 acres, (7,848 square feet) , more or less.
SECTION 4. That portion of Broad Street lying in the J. A. Scott Survey,
No. 10, A-302, Wichita County, Texas, and the E. A. Austin Survey, A-425, Wichita
County, Texas, more fully described hereinafter, be and the same is hereby
closed and abandoned, to wit:
A tract of land out of the J. A. Scott Survey, No. 10, A-302, Wichita
County, Texas, and the E. A. Austin Survey, A-425, Wichita County,
Texas, said tract being more specifically described by metes and bounds
as follows:
BEGINNING at a point which bears W 1052.6 feet and S 274.7 feet from
the northwest corner of said J. A. Scott Survey, No. 10, and the
southwest corner of said E. A. Austin Survey, for the place of beginning
of this description;
THENCE S 78° 04' W 1.92 feet to a point for corner;
THENCE N 20° 36' W 136.78 feet to a point lying in the W ROW line of
Broad Street for corner;
THENCE along said W ROW line, N 147.06 feet to a point of intersection
of the above mentioned W ROW line of Broad Street and the south ROW
line of Chester Street, for corner;
THENCE W 32.04 feet along the above mentioned S ROW line of Chester
Street to a point in a curve, the bearing of the tang at said point
being N 00 a 05' west;
THENCE along a 16.71 degree curve to the right, having a radius of
342.85 feet and a central angle of 26° 28' 33.1", a distance of 158.34
feet to a point lying in the E ROW line of said Broad Street, for corner;
