AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 152, FLOOD DAMAGE PREVENTION,
OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS TO PROVIDE
A BASIS FOR ESTABLISHING THE AREAS OF SPECIAL FLOOD HAZARD
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS,
TEXAS, THAT:
Section 152-18, Article III, Chapter 151/2, Wichita Falls Code of
Ordinances be amended to read as follows :
"SECTION 151/2-18. BASIS FOR ESTABLISHING THE AREAS OF SPECIAL
FLOOD HAZARD
The areas of special flood hazard identified by the Federal Insurance
Administration in a scientific
and engineering report entitled, 'The
Flood Insurance Study for the City of Wichita Falls, Texas, ' dated
April, 1979, with accompanying Flood Insurance Rate Maps and Flood
Boundary-Floodway Maps is hereby adopted by reference and declared to
be a part of this ordinance. The Flood Insurance Study is on file
in the Planning Division, City of Wichita Falls, Memorial Auditorium
Building, Wichita Falls, Texas."
