ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3580 TO APPOINT A NEW
JUDGE AND ALTERNATE JUDGE FOR CITY BOX NO. 11 , AND A NEW
ALTERNATE JUDGE FOR CITY BOX NO. 21 IN THE MUNICIPAL BOND
ELECTION.
WHEREAS, in Ordinance No. 3580, Mrs. Jane Duggan was appointed Judge
at City Box No. 11 , and Mrs. Betty Welch was appointed Alternate, and
Mr. James T. Spray was appointed Alternate in City Box No. 21 , and,
WHEREAS, Mrs. Duggan and Mr. Spray will be unable to serve in this
capacity.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Ordinance No. 3580 is hereby amended to provide that Mrs. Betty
Welch is appointed Judge, and Mrs. J. W. England is appointed Alternate
in City Box No. 11 , and Mrs. Elizabeth J. Henning is appointed Alternate
in City Box No. 21 for the Municipal Bond Election to be held on January
26, 1980.
The fact that these election appointees will be unable to serve
creates an emergency; this ordinance is declared to be an emergency
measure, and it shall become effective immediately upon its passage.
