AN ORDINANCE WAIVING THE REQUIREMENT PROHIBITING THE
CREATION OF DEAD END STREETS FOR STURDEVANDT PLACE
A RESIDENTIAL STREET LOCATED IN MORNINGSIDE PARK NORTH
ADDITION OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS
WHEREAS, the owners of property of Morningside Park North Addition
have requested that Sturdevandt Place not be extended to the west of its
present western boundary; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Board of the City of Wichita Falls has recom-
mended to the Board of Aldermen that a waiver be granted from the Comprehensive
Subdivision Ordinance No. 2118 requirement prohibiting the creation of dead-end
streets for said street; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas
deems it advisable and in the public interest to grant such waiver and create
a dead-end to such street hereinafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Section 9(B) (1) (g) of the Comprehensive Subdivision Ordi-
nance No. 2118 is hereby waived and Sturdevandt Place, a residential street
located in the Morningside Park NorthAddition, shall dead-end at the northwest
corner of Lot 13 and the southwest corner of Lot 14 said addition.
SECTION 2. The owner of property west of the dead-end of Sturdevandt
Place herein created shall be permitted to plat said property without extending
said street.
