AN ORDINANCE AMENDING PARAGRAPH (R) OF
SECTION 29-91 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF
THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING
. • PRIMA FACIE MAXIMUM SPEED LIMITS ON CERTAIN
STREETS WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, AND DECLARING
AN EMERGENCY.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
. WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. Paragraph (R) of Section 29-91 of the Code of Ordinances is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"(R) Kemp Boulevard:
(1) 40 MPH From Seymour Highway (U.S. 82-277)
south to Southwest Parkway (F.M. 369). "
SECTION 2. The fact that the prima facie speed limits set out in this ordinance
are necessary to the safe and orderly movement of traffic upon the streets of the City
of Wichita Falls, this ordinance is•declared to be an emergency measure on the ground '
that there is an urgent public need for the orderly flow of traffic upon the streets,
and a public need for the preservation of the peace, health, and safety of the lives
•
and property of the citizens of the City. This ordinance shall, therefore, take effect
immediately upon its passage.
