ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3458
TO EXTEND ITS EFFECTIVENESS THROUGH
AUGUST 31, 1980.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS THAT:
SECTION 1. Subsection a. of Section 1.1 of Ordinance No. 3458 is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"a. A ninety (90) day renewable permit is obtained for the temporary
placement of the mobile home. The permit shall be renewable for a maxi-
mum period ending August 31, 1980 based on evidence of continuous
progress toward the construction or reconstruction of a permanent resi-
dence at another location, or relocation to a permanent location."
SECTION 2. Subsection a. of Section 1.2 of Ordinance No. 3458 is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"a. A ninety (90) day renewable permit is obtained for the temporary
placement of a mobile home. The permit shall be renewed for a maximum
period ending August 31, 1980, based on evidence of continuous progress
toward the construction of a permanent residence at another location or
relocation to a permanent location."
SECTION 3. The fact that there is still a need for temporary housing
for persons displaced by the April 10, 1979 tornado creates an emergency, and
this ordinance shall become effective upon its passage.
