ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 15-127 OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TO
INCREASE THE NUMBER OF FIRE LIEUTENANTS BY ONE,
AND DECREASE NUMBER OF FIRE EQUIPMENT OPERATORS
BY ONE .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Section 15-127 of the Code of Ordinances is hereby
amended to read as follows :
"The following positions in the Fire Department are
classified under Civil Service in compliance with Section 8
of Article 1269m of the Revised Civil Statutes of Texas, as
amended, and they are hereby set out as follows :
Classification--Title Number of Positions
Firefighter 57
Fire Equipment Operator 48
Fire Lieutenant 21
Fire Captain 7
Fire Battalion Chief 4
No other person employed by the City may be classified as
holding a position under Civil Service with the Fire Depart-
ment. "
