ORDINANCE AMENDING PARAGRAPHS (b) AND (c) OF SEC_
TION 32-57 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES. ESTABLISHING
RATES FOR SEWER SERVICE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS,
THAT:
SECTION 1. Paragraph (b) of Section 32-57 of the Code of Ordinances is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"(b) The minimum monthly sewer charge for any user shall be $2.25, which
shall be charged any user whose water consumption for the month does not exceed
200 cubic feet.
For larger consumption, the monthly sewer rate shall be as follows:
The next 8 hundred cubic feet of water, $.39 per hundred cubic feet.
The next 658 hundred cubic feet of water, $.24 per hundred cubic feet.
All over 668 hundred cubic feet of water, $.20 per hundred cubic feet."
SECTION 2. Paragraph (c) of Section 32-57 of the Code of Ordinances is
hereby amended to read as follows:
" (c) The above schedule of rates for sewer charges and the minimum monthly
charge of $2.25 shall apply to users located within the city limits; the rate
for all sanitary sewer service provided outside the city limits shall be twice
the rate above prescribed, and the minimum monthly charge for users outside the
city limits shall be $4.50."
SECTION 3. The above schedule of sewer rates shall be effective on all
bills rendered after the 30th day of September, 1980.
SECTION 4. The fact that additional revenue is needed in the Public
Utilities Division during the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1980 in order to
meet the costs of providing the service levels to be performed creates an
emergency; this ordinance is declared an emergency measure and shall be effective
upon its passage.
