ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBSECTION (a) OF SECTION
1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 3759, THE CLEAN COMMUNITY
COMMISSION ORDINANCE, TO INCREASE THE NUMBER
OF COMMISSION MEMBERS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Subsection (a) of Section 1 of Ordinance No. 3759 is
hereby amended to read as follows:
" (a) The Commission shall initially be composed of fif-
teen residents of the City of Wichita Falls, who shall be
appointed by the Board of Aldermen to serve without compensation.
Of the Commission members first appointed, seven shall be
appointed to serve terms ending December 31, 1981, and eight to
serve terms ending December 31, 1982 . Thereafter, all appoint-
ments shall be for terms of two years. Thereafter, the Board
of Aldermen may appoint additional members, but such additional
members shall not increase the total membership to more than
twenty members. The initial terms of the additional members
shall be staggered, so that the terms of approximately one-
half of the members shall expire on odd years, and one-half
shall expire on even years. "
