ORDINANCE AMENDING THE REGULATIONS CONCERNING PARKING
METERS AT MUNICIPAL AIRPORT.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. That subsection (a) of Section 29-148 of the Code of Ordinances
is hereby amended, by deleting the following:
"MUNICIPAL AIRPORT
1 quarter, a hour"
SECTION 2. That Section 29-148.1 is hereby established and shall read as follows:
"Section 29-148.1 Parking Meter Zone Municipal Airport.
(a) Parking meter zones are hereby established upon those roadways or parts
of roadways in and about the Municipal Airport Terminal area upon which the parking
of vehicles shall be regulated by parking meters. Such regulation shall be in force all
hours of the day and all days of the year, without exception. Rates are as follows.

1 quarter, 2 hour
(b) The city traffic engineer shall install parking meters in the parking meter
zones established as provided in this article upon the curb immediately adjacent to
each designated parking space. Such meters shall be capable of being operated, either
automatically or mechanically, upon the deposit therein of a twenty-five (25) cent coin
of United States currency, for the full period of time for which parking is lawfully per-
mitted in any such parking zone.
(c) Each parking meter shall be so designated, constructed, installed, and set
that upon the expiration of the time period registered by the deposit of one or more
coins, as provided herein, it will indicate by an appropriate signal that the lawful
parking meter period has expired, and during said period of time and prior to the

expiration thereof, will indicate the interval of time which remains of such period.
(d) Each parking meter shall bear thereon a legend indicating the days and
hours when the requirement to deposit coins therein shall apply, the value of the
coins to be deposited, and the limited period of time for which parking is lawfully
permitted in the parking meter zone in which such meter is located."
SECTION 3. The fact that orderly regulations of the parking at Municipal
Airport is urgently needed, creates an emergency. This ordinance shall therefore,
take effect immediately upon passage.
