ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3757 , WHICH
AUTHORIZED THE POLICE DEPARTMENT OR MEMBERS
THEREOF TO IMPOUND CERTAIN VEHICLES, TO MAKE
MINOR CORRECTIONS IN SUCH ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The first paragraph of Section 1 of
Ordinance No. 3757 is hereby amended by adding " (a) "
at the beginning of such paragraph.
SECTION 2 . The first sentence in Paragraph (b) of
Ordinance No. 3757 is hereby amended to read as follows:
"A Police Department or member thereof that takes into
custody a motor vehicle under the provisions of this ordinance
shall notify within 10 days thereof, by registered or
certified mail, return receipt requested, the last known
registered owner of the motor vehicle and all lien holders
of record pursuant to the Certificate of Title Act, as
amended (Article 6687-1, V.A.T. S. ) , that the vehicle has
been taken into custody. "
