AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING A PORTION OF PUBLIC WALK
BETWEEN LOT 2-B, BLOCK N AND LOT 9-A, BLOCK 0, CITY VIEW
HEIGHTS, AN ADDITION TO THE CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS
WHEREAS, the Planning Board of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas has
recommended that a portion of said public walk be closed and abandoned condi-
tioned on Lot 2-B, Block N and Lot 9-A, Block 0, City View Heights be replatted;
and,
WHEREAS, the Board of Aldermen of the City of Wichita Falls, Texas deems
it advisable and in the public interest to close and abandon a portion of the
public walk hereinafter described.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF ALDERMEN OF THE CITY OF
WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1. The east five (5) feet of the north-south ten (10) foot
public walk lying between Lot 2-B, Block N and Lot 9-A, Block 0, north of the
north right-of-way line of Longview Street and south of the south property line
of City View Heights Park all in the City View Heights Subdivision, be and the
same is hereby closed and abandoned.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall become effective upon the filing,
with the Wichita County Clerk, a replat of the existing said lots showing the
dedication of the easternmost five (5) feet of Lot 9-A, Block 0 as a public walk
extending from the north right-of-way line of Longview Street to the south
property line of the City View Heights Park.
