RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY ATTORNEY TO INSTITUTE
EMINENT DOMAIN PROCEEDINGS TO ACQUIRE LAND FOR
LANGFORD LANE RIGHT-OF-WAY.
WHEREAS, Randy Wachsman is developing a portion of Rolling
Hills Subdivision, and needs to dedicate and construct an extension
of Langford Lane from its present location west to Barnett Road,
which would be beneficial to traffic routing in the area; and,
WHEREAS, in order to do this, it is necessary for Mr. Wachsman
to obtain a strip thirty feet wide along the north side of his
property; although he has made a diligent effort to acquire this
property, he has been unable to negotiate an agreement with the
adjoining property owners; and,
WHEREAS, it appears that the only way this strip can be
obtained is through the exercise of eminent domain.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT :
SECTION 1. It is determined that the acquisition of that
certain 0 .838 acre of land, more or less, out of Block 29 , Denton
County School Lands, League 1, Wichita County, Texas, described
on the attached exhibit, is necessary for the extension of Langford
Lane.
SECTION 2 . All costs and expenses of such proceeding,
including appraiser' s fees, special commissioners ' fees, court costs,
commissioners ' award, and a reasonable allowance for services of
the City Attorney ' s office, shall be paid by Randy Wachsman .

SECTION 3 . The City Attorney is authorized to institute
and prosecute such eminent domain suit.
