RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT
FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF KEMP PUBLIC
LIBRARY ACCESSIBILITY MODIFICATIONS
WHEREAS, the citizens of the City of Wichita Falls have approved the
issuance of bonds for the purpose of constructing accessibility modifications
to the Kemp Public Library; and
WHEREAS, the City has advertized for bids for this project; and
WHEREAS, two bids were received, and it is found that the bid of Meyers
Brothers, Incorporated in the amount of $117,958 is the lowest responsible bid; and
WHEREAS, the request of Meyers Brothers for waiver of resolution number
112-83 in regard to earthwork and elevator installation is reasonable and in
accordance with the intent of resolution number 112-83.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WICHITA
FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The bid of Meyers Brothers, Incorporated in the amount of $117,958 is
hereby accepted, and the City Manager is authorized to execute a contract with
Meyers Brothers, Incorporated for the construction of accessibility modifications to
the Kemp Public Library. Resolution number 112-83 is hereby waived for the earth-
work and elevator installation portions of this contract.
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS THE 1ST DAY OF NOVEMBER, 1983.
