RESOLUTION TO ESTABLISH THE FEES TO BE CHARGED
BY THE CITY TO MAKE SEWER AND WATER TAPS AND TO
PERFORM OTHER UTILITY-RELATED SERVICES•
WHEREAS, the Public Utilities Department provides sewer
and water taps and certain other utility related services;
WHEREAS, the City should recover the cost of the services
provided; and,
WHEREAS, the current fee schedule is out-of-date and is
not recovering the cost of service.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT :
The following standard prices for labor, material , and
equipment use will be used to estimate 1 1/2" and larger water
taps, and other special utility-related services.

Material Cost to City plus 10% for
warehousing and administration
Labor 8. 00 per man hour {$12. 00
for time-and-half}
Backhoe/ditcher 25 . 00 per hour {4 hour minimum}
Crew truck and tools 20. 00 per day {1/2 day minimum}
Sewer rod truck with crew 39. 50 per hour
Vactor sewer cleaner with
crew 100. 00 per hour
Air compressor 20. 00 per hour {2 hour miminum}
Boring machine 25. 00 per job
The price for standard water taps 11" and below} and for
sewer taps will be as follows:

The price for changing a meter connection to a smaller
size shall be as follows. The prices are for normal situations.
In those instances when these prices are unfair to the customer
or to the City, the Director of Public Utilities shall prepare
a special job estimate and that estimate shall constitute
the price to be charged for that specific job. Also, a
special job estimate shall be made when the meter sizes are
different than the list below.

All of the above fees will be effective for services
performed on or after October 5 , 1983.
Additional revenue is needed in the Public Utilities
Department during the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1983,
therefore, this Resolution is declared an emergency and
shall be effective upon its passage.
