RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING TRANSFER OF OLD UNCOLLECTABLE
ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE TOTALING $196, 741. 09 FROM AN
ACTIVE TO DORMANT STATUS .
WHEREAS, the Chief Accounting Officer/Director of Finance has
recommended that old accounts receivable which were due before October
1, 1982 be deemed uncollectable , and that they be removed from the
ledger and be transferred to dormant status .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The Chief Accounting Officer/Director of Finance is hereby
authorized to remove from the general ledger the hereinafter set out
charges made by the City, which are now deemed uncollectable, totaling
196,741.09, to-wit:

Although such accounts receivable are placed on dormant status,
reasonable efforts will be made to collect these accounts receivable,
either by the City Attorney or by the City' s collection agency.
