RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER
TO MAKE FINAL PAYMENT ON CONTRACT WITH THE J. MILLER
CONSTRUCTION CO. FOR THE ENERGY CONSERVATION PROJECT
AT WICHITA FALLS MUNICIPAL AIRPORT.
WHEREAS, the City of Wichita Falls and J. Miller Construction Co. entered into
a contract dated December 9, 1982 for renovating and refurbishing portions of Municipal
Airport Terminal Building, and;
WHEREAS, the construction of such project has been completed in accordance with
the plans and specifications, and;
WHEREAS, the balance due the contractor is S25,436.90, and;
WHEREAS, all funds appropriated for this project were not expended, and;
WHEREAS, the remaining funds could best be utilized for landscaping the terminal
grounds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
The construction of such project is accepted by the City of Wichita Falls and the
remaining appropriated monies are to be utilized for landscaping the immediate terminal
grounds. The City Manager is authorized to make final payment to such contractor of
the balance due as shows above.
