RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR MAINTENANCE
OF CERTAIN STREET MEDIANS.
WHEREAS, on July 5, 1983 the City Council accepted bids and
awarded contracts to Vester Duncan and Gary Burton for performing
maintenance of certain City boulevards as a pilot project for the
remainder of the growing season through September 30 , 1983; and,
WHEREAS, Vester Duncan is now unable to meet the contractual
requirements of this program; and, Gary Burton has requested that
he be awarded the maintenance contract on the Group #1 area;
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS, THAT:
Vester Duncan is declared in default, and that the City
Manager is authorized to execute that certain contract on the
Group #1 area with Gary Burton for the period commencing August 2 ,
1983 for the remainder of the 1983 growing season.
PASSED AND APPROVED this the 2nd day of August, 1983.
